This is my desk. Thank goodness it also doubles as a dining table for up to eight people, because I obviously need the space.
My dear editor overnighted her notes back to me last week and requested the next revision either by July 26 or by August 15 (her schedule gets nuts around August 1).
Since the ms still needs quite a bit of work, and since I want it to go into copy-editing on time (ie. on September 1), I picked the earlier one. (Also, challenging deadlines motivate me to work faster.)
Unfortunately, that doesn't give me tons of free time to blog... :-(
Anyway, see you soon! (That means probably after the 26th.)
